TCP Software (TCP) is hiring a Financial Analyst to provide accurate and data-based information to the Finance team, including financial reporting and analysis, budget and forecast preparation, and financial guidance in accordance with GAAP.
As a Financial Analyst you will:
Reviews financial transaction details for accuracy, with a focus on identifying and mitigating potential issues. Prepares monthly, quarterly, and other period-based financial reporting such as variances to plan forecast, and coordinate time distribution to appropriate stakeholders. Prepares and tracks key performance indicators, other metrics, and business or operational trend data to support management reporting. Assists in the development of financial content for executive-level presentations. Participates in quarterly forecasting, annual planning, and long-term strategic planning supporting the senior FP&A staff as needed. Analyzes data to assist the business and finance teams with developing cost strategies and identifying opportunities to improve profitability and process efficiency. Provides customer service and support to the department or function being supported including assistance with capital projects, cost/benefit analysis, and financial modeling to support and enhance decision-making. Construct tools to deliver actionable insights on cost metrics. Ad hoc reporting and other miscellaneous projects as assigned. You are a strong fit for this role if you have :
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a relevant field. 1+ year of accounting/finance work experience in a dynamic and analytical environment General knowledge of financial transaction flows from source systems to the general ledger Understands the financial closing process and monthly/quarterly reporting cycles Broad knowledge of policies, procedures, regulations, and standards, including generally accepted accounting principles with the ability to apply these accurately to commercial transactions Ability to perform well in a team environment, including sharing information and assisting others with close and reporting duties to meet monthly deadlines Courage to report issues and offer analysis of the issues and possible solutions Heavy Excel, Word, and PowerPoint application skills Familiarity with NetSuite applications a plus Working knowledge of key financial, accounting, and business metrics Working knowledge of Adaptive Insights and modeling functions is a plus Benefits:
