Successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, running, and troubleshooting all company CNC lathe machines, including machining processes. Should possess leadership qualities, as well as the skills to train and mentor others. Candidates should be willing to work overtime when necessary to meet customer demands. Analyze and interpret blueprints, specifications, or sample parts to determine the dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces. Comply with company quality systems, including correctly completing all related documents. Coach, train, and develop other machinist as needed and provide area leadership. Maintain a clean and organized work area to 6S standards. Pulls required fixtures, holding devices, and materials. Inserts tool holders or installs pre-set tools in the machine. Continued improvement in inspection techniques and ability to identify cause or problem or need for correction. Check for machine readiness to ensure functionality and performance.
Requirements:Basic PC skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), are crucial for success in this position.English language skills and the ability to read, follow, and interpret planning and work order instructions are highly valued in this role.Basic PC skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)Skill in following verbal and written directions and transferring instructions into action.Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks and a high volume of work on a deadline.Intermediate math skills, including adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, and fractions, for print reading and tolerance determination.High school diploma or GED requiredCNC lathe operator/machinist diploma or certification preferredMinimum ten years of experience in a machine shop environment.Minimum ten years of experience in CNC lathes machines.
