About the Role: We are looking for a skilled Plumbing Engineer to design, implement, and manage plumbing systems, including sanitary waste, stormwater, domestic water, and natural gas distribution. Collaborating with property owners, developers, architects, and construction teams, the MEP Engineer will ensure high-quality, code-compliant, and efficient system designs. Responsibilities: Develop conceptual designs, layouts, and engineering analyses for plumbing systems. Prepare schematic designs, design development plans, and construction documents with minimal oversight. Create detailed drawings and specifications while ensuring adherence to building codes and industry standards. Conduct on-site assessments to evaluate existing conditions and guide design decisions. Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to integrate plumbing systems with mechanical and electrical components. Coordinate engineering documentation across relevant disciplines and assist with specification development. Design and size plumbing systems, including: Sanitary waste/vent and special waste/vent systems (e.g., pH neutralization) Domestic water distribution, heating, and recirculation systems Stormwater drainage and natural gas distribution Plumbing fixture and equipment selection Stay updated on evolving building codes, industry best practices, and emerging technologies. Work within various project delivery models, including design-bid-build, design-assist, and design-build. Foster strong client relationships through clear communication and successful project execution. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, but not required. At least
5 years of experience
in plumbing system design, assessment, or construction. In-depth knowledge of plumbing, gas, and building codes. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is required. Experience in fire protection design is a plus. Strong computer skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines. Self-motivated and proactive in problem-solving.
