LONG TERM CARE RNStart Date: ASAP (4 weeks from offer for compliance requirements)Shift: 3x12 Night (7pm-7:30am)Ratios: 8:1 days; 13:1 nightsYears of Experience REQ: 2 years of Nursing home/LTC or Home Health preferred. Travel experience is preferred.Epic REQ?: 1 year of Epic experience is preferred.First-Timers Accepted: YesWeekend REQ: TBDGuaranteed Hours: 36 per weekTop 10 Diagnosis/Procedures: CVA, Dementia, RA, Afib, Hip fx, Parkinsons, BKA, PNA, COPD, BKA, Hunntington's dxCommon Equipment: Hoyer lift, SARA lift, tube feeding pump, IV pumpThis is an LTC unit; however, since it is the only LTC/Nursing Home in the PeaceHealth system, it functions more like an LTAC or step-down unit to MedSurg. We do not take trach patients, acute rehab, TPN, Bi-PAP, etc. We use a Pyxis medication system to load our Work Stations on Wheels. We DO NOT USE MedPacks which is what a lot of the LTC’s down south utilize, our Medpass process is a hybrid between a LTC /MedSurg process. Epic was designed as an acute care EMR and has been modified to accommodate LTC; however, the modifications make the charting labor-intensive.Job Requirements
