**Job Title:** ICU Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift
**Job Specialty:** Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
**Job Duration:** 13 weeks
**Shift:** 07:00 PM - 07:30 AM, including every other weekend
**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week
**Experience:** Minimum of 3 years of ICU RN experience, with at least 2 years of continuous Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) experience
**License:** Active Massachusetts RN License
**Certifications:** Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
**Must-Have:**- Proficiency in reading telemetry strips- Competency required for floating to Medical/Surgical units as needed
**Job Description:**
- Work in a 20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU caring for a diverse adult patient population with conditions such as sepsis, GI bleeding, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, diabetic ketoacidosis, and cardiogenic shock.- Collaborate with attending physicians and residents, who are present in the ICU 24 hours a day.- Maintain a patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:1 based on patient acuity levels.- Utilize the EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system for charting.- Participate in rotating shifts for day positions, which may include 7 AM-7 PM, 11 AM-11 PM, or 7 PM-7 AM when needed. Note that the night shift does not rotate.
