This role is integral to ensuring the highest quality of our products and services, and we need someone who can uphold our commitment to excellence. With your experience in the manufacturing, aerospace, or military industries, you'll be playing a critical role in maintaining our ISO 9001 standards and contributing to our overall operational efficiency.Responsibilities:As a Permanent Quality Inspector, you will be tasked with the following responsibilities:1. Conduct thorough inspections of all incoming parts and materials, using precision measurement tools such as calipers and CMM programming techniques in Calypso.2. Perform complex layout inspections and first article inspections to establish baseline standards for production.3. Interpret and work from blueprints, internal and external specifications, and customer requirements to ensure that all products meet the highest quality standards.4. Document and report on inspection results, maintaining meticulous records in accordance with ISO 9001 standards.5. Serve as a customer designated quality representative, liaising between our team and clients to address any quality-related issues or concerns.6. Implement and maintain 6S standards within your workspace and throughout the organization.7. Continually monitor and assess our quality control processes, making recommendations for improvement where necessary.8. Work closely with other departments to ensure that all products leaving our facility meet the highest possible standards of quality and precision.Qualifications:The ideal candidate for the Permanent Quality Inspector role will have the following qualifications:1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality inspection role within the manufacturing, aerospace, or military industries.2. Proficiency in inspection techniques and precision measurement tools, including CMM programming and caliper use.3. A comprehensive understanding of ISO 9001 standards and their application within a manufacturing environment.4. Experience with first article inspection and complex layout inspection.5. Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards.6. Strong documentation skills, with the ability to maintain meticulous records and generate detailed reports.7. Familiarity with blueprint reading and interpretation.8. Knowledge of 6S or similar lean manufacturing methodologies.9. Previous experience serving as a customer designated quality representative is a plus.10. A strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new processes and procedures.
