As a member of the interdisciplinary team, contributes professional nursing knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients through the application of the nursing process.Performs procedures in a manner that ensures an accurate and complete examination within the guidelines, policies, procedures and standards of Medical Imaging to assigned patients of all ages and is expected to be the expert in the nursing processes of the Diagnostic and Treatment Services.Practices nursing within the scope of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse licensureAdministers medications/conscious sedation safely and effectively following UPH and department policiesPerforms adult and pediatric catheterization as neededPerform nursing tasks in the Radiology Department, IR, and nursing floorsEducate as necessary and maintain knowledge of moderate sedation guidelinesJob Requirements
At least 1 year experience as a Registered NurseBasic reading, writing, oral English skillsAccountabilityMulticultural sensitivityCustomer/patient focusedBasic computer knowledgeCritical thinking skills using independent judgement in making decisionsAdditional Details
