OverviewJob SummaryCompletes strategic business and financial plans, hospital and physician integration analysis, new product and service development, capital purchase analysis, and other management consulting projects for owned, managed, and affiliate operations of the system.
Essential Functions
Translates data and other information prepared by the management consultants into meaningful information for decision-making by senior leadership at system facilities.Orchestrates the completion, filing, and follow-up of CONs and other similar regulatory filings.Presents graphics and other information in a logical and concise format to senior leadership at system facilities.Directs and orchestrates management consulting projects independent of the department leadership.Conducts strategic financial planning studies for facilities by evaluating relevant data and issues.Writes clear and concise management consulting reports to be received by senior leadership, boards, and physicians.Directs and completes pre- and post-merger and acquisition analyses on candidates' strengths and weaknesses, including market, cost structure, debt capacity, financial position, and debt covenant limitations. Reports related information to senior leadership for decision making and negotiating.Orchestrates the completion of business plans for new operations being considered by the system.Maintains knowledge of local, regional, and national healthcare issues impacting the services of the department.Physical RequirementsWork requires lifting, moving, walking, and transporting of large materials. Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time. Must have personal transportation to travel to various locations.
Education, Experience and CertificationsBachelor's Degree required. Master's Degree in Business, Health Administration, or Finance preferred. 2 to 4 years experience in healthcare required.
