Administrative Assistant

Shift details:37.5 hours per week
Duties:Skilled to use printer; scanner; computerAssist with the daily operations of the Managing Attorney's Office which includes, but is not limited to, accepting service of documentation at the MAO window.Open and close cases in the various programs used in the MAO: including but not limited to NYMatters, Access, Microsoft Office, and CourtAlert.Make court runs within the 5 boroughs to deliver and file documents or to pick up documents.Contact the various courts across the state for information on cases Advise OAG staff on questions regarding filings, service to the courts, and working with United Lawyers Service.Forward any CourtAlert notices to the appropriate staff assigned to that particular case.Monitor eFax mailbox and send to appropriate Bureau.Answer telephone inquiries from the public, not giving legal advice.Assist the general public that come to file a complaint.Perform other interdepartmental tasks and duties as assigned.
Travel - May need to go to court (limited) and supplied a metro card.
