Cloud Ops Engineer - multiple openings

Global Bridge InfoTech Inc. has multiple openings for the position of Cloud Ops Engineer (Ref# COE1015SG).
Work Location: Irving, TX and relocation required to various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.
Job Duties: Responsible for cloud operations and infrastructure hosted in a multi-cloud ecosystem. Setup fault tolerant and scalable applications using cloud services in AWS and Azure. Configure cloud infrastructure components. Support on-prem and multi-cloud application workloads in all phases from provisioning to monitoring. Serve as subject-matter expert (SME) for web-based application and service hosting in cloud native containerized platforms. Work on cloud cost optimization on Azure subscriptions. Responsible for provisioning cloud infrastructure used for hosting client-facing applications. Perform platform application rollout to production, maintaining secure CI/CD pipelines. Work on cloud native solutions for microservice based application deployment and orchestration. Automate the infrastructure service deployment process by creating playbooks using Ansible. Create pipelines for application rollout with revised features using automated deployment strategies in AWS code pipelines and Azure DevOps. Configure and maintain network and application load balancers, peering and site to site VPN connections using AWS VPC (Virtual Private Cloud) and ELB (Elastic Load Balancing) services. Implement security frameworks and policy governance ensuring the applications are in compliance with industry standard security benchmarks. Work on cloud spend management to optimize cloud costs by following FinOps principles. Provide usage insights and recommendations to development teams on scope for optimization and server right sizing. Standardize observability and infrastructure monitoring to identify patterns in network traffic, logs, and traces using AWS CloudWatch, Azure Defender for Cloud, and New Relic agent based metric collections. Create runbooks and incident management reports including postmortems, root cause analysis, and long-term corrective action reports. Configure cloud security policies and rules to limit external traffic on critical infrastructure. Maintain Azure CDN endpoints. Implement real user, synthetic monitoring scenarios to check and maintain availability of web apps. Handle cloud capacity planning, cost forecasting, and infrastructure right sizing strategies. Use of Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, Ansible, Chef, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Jira, and Confluence.
Requirements: This position requires a Masters degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field. Plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or 2 years in a related occupation including Systems Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or related experience. Position requires 1 year of experience with cloud infrastructure, Ansible, and Jenkins. 40hrs/week.
