Senior Cyber Engineer

General Summary Performs comprehensive assessments of the management, operational, and technical security controls and control enhancements employed within or inherited by an information technology (IT) system to determine the overall effectiveness of the controls in accordance with NIST 800-53. Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential functions) Manages a wide range of security issues including architectures, firewalls, electronic data traffic, and network access. Provides full assessments of systems security posture. Evaluates and makes recommendations designed to promote economy, efficiency, and effectiveness in the security program. Review RMF Packages for completeness and technical accuracy. Perform Risk Assessment IAW with Army RMF 2.0 policy. Provides recommendations for protecting networks, workstations, servers, and assets. Required SkillsRequired Experience Required Qualifications Bachelors Degree or higher in related field Minimum of 7 years of work related experience Active SecurityCE certification or equivalent Strong written and verbal communication skills. Secret DoD Security Clearance required; US Citizenship required Prior experience with eMASS Prior work experience with Risk Assessment and Risk Management Framework (RMF) Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in related field, or equivalent experience. Active CISSP certification or equivalent. TS/SCI clearance. Prior work experience to lead a project.
