Washington, DC.JOB DESCRIPTION:The IT Functional Expert Consultant is a senior-level technical position within the Department of Justice, designed to support critical IT systems and infrastructure for a designated DOJ component. This role requires a highly skilled and experienced IT expert to lead and direct a technical team, focusing on developing and implementing systems that align with attorneys' requirements. The IT Functional Expert Consultant will leverage substantial hands-on experience to enhance the DOJ's office automation networks, server-based databases, and applications, contributing to the smooth execution of litigation support and other core DOJ functions.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Lead and manage technical teams to develop and implement IT solutions that meet DOJ component needs.Provide technical direction and oversight across systems to ensure effective support and delivery of IT services.Analyze and translate attorney and operational needs into comprehensive system solutions.Implement Data Warehousing capabilities, including schema structures, staging areas, and data marts.Construct and execute data migration scripts for legacy applications, including supporting development, execution, and testing.Implement software to migrate applications from Oracle to SQL Server.Communicate effectively with DOJ leadership and stakeholders to convey complex technical concepts and solutions clearly and concisely.REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in managing and implementing IT systems within a government or comparable environment.Experience with data ETL, migration, and testing..NET and/or Java programming experience required.Benefits and Pay:Salary up to $180,000401(k) plan with matching funds and immediate vestingMedical, Dental, and Vision insuranceCompany sponsored Long- and short-term Disability coverageCompany sponsored Life Insurance coverageHiring Referral BonusReimbursement for approved technical training/examsSienna Systems is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
