TITLE: Technology Support Specialist QUALIFICATION: Associates degree or Bachelors degree in a related technical field; Certification in CompTIA A, and/or 3 years experience Apple, or Microsoft administration Certification or 3 years experience using a Mobile Device Management; (Jamf, AirWatch, etc.) 2 years of experience with Remote Management and Monitoring (RMM) systems; Certifications or 3 years of experience administering Apple macOS, iOS, and Windows environment; Experience administering physical security systems including surveillance cameras and access; Experience with audio visual, public address and telephone system recommended Sound organizational, communication, customer service, and troubleshooting skills; Experience managing a helpdesk environment REPORTS TO: Director of Technology JOB GOAL: Under the supervision of the Director of Technology, the Technology Support Specialist (TSS) will support Building Technicians by coordinating the management, maintenance, and deployment of operating systems, applications and appropriate security configurations to all macOS, iOS, and Windows devices throughout the district. Provide training and support for building technicians on the proper deployment and maintenance of devices and peripherals. In addition, serve as a technical resource to the building technicians with advanced troubleshooting and resolving issues with security cameras, RFID access management, phones, and AV/PA equipment. The TSS will be responsible for account maintenance for Microsoft Active Directory, Google Workspace, Okta Identity and similar systems requiring user access. ESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead the management, maintenance, and deployment of all macOS, iOS, and Windows workstation, laptop and tablet devices and peripherals throughout the TCPS system. Provides training and support for building technicians on device deployment and maintenance of devices and peripherals according to specified security requirements. Manage hardware, software, and subscription inventories Respond to escalated help tickets for: Surveillance camera and RFID Access management (Ex. Avigilon) Building level Audio Visual or Public address systems, Telephone /VOIP Systems Support and manage accounts for: Microsoft Active Directory, Google Workspace Multi-Factor Authorization (Ex. Okta Identity) Mobile device Management system (Ex. JAMF) OTHER FUNCTIONS: Maintain currency of technological skills and knowledge base including attending required trainings. Promote a positive image of the district at all times. Participate in district technology meetings as required. Operate in coordination with network administrator(s). Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Technology
