CLAIMS ADJUSTER/EXAMINER

CLAIMS ADJUSTER/EXAMINER Responsible for examining & approving property/casualty claims while providing exceptional customer service. Responsibilities: Process property/casualty claims following the guidelines of the insurance policy. Analyze and evaluate liability, settlement values, & coverages. Establish and adjust reserves adequately based on claim & coverages. Check and approve independent adjusters bills and other claim related expense. Review investigations, related forms, and reports to make final determinations. Review claim for subrogation possibilities, Provide exceptional customer service to agents, insureds, independent adjusters and attorneys. Attend depositions, pre-trial conferences and trials as circumstances require. Perform other related duties as assigned. Skills 5 years NY Property/Casualty insurance experience Property Claim experience is preferred Customer Service Professionalism Time Management Verbal and written communication skills Organizational Skills Computer skills including Microsoft Office Ability to work with minimal supervision Ability to work under pressure and meet deadline
