With respect for the icons who started it all, stewardship of the land and the boldness to do things differently, ASPIRA delivers unrivaled brands and experiences.Position SummaryThe Senior Hospitality and Events Manager is responsible for the management and execution of all Hospitality and Events at Robert Mondavi Winery and the To Kalon Collective. The To Kalon Collective is the exclusive space where we host tastings of Schrader Cellars, Double Diamond Wines, and To Kalon Vineyard Co. This position also oversees the hospitality and events teams at Robert Mondavi Winery while providing guidance and direction in a manner consistent with the image, style, and values of Robert Mondavi Winery.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop the trade Hospitality budget and ensure adherence to budgets across departments.Drive innovative and strategic guest programming that surprises, delights, and educates.Align trade hospitality team to be best in class alongside affiliated brand, sales, and PR teams.Manage staff in developing world-class visitor programming and implement practices that maximize onsite conversions.Review monthly reports related to the business and annual budget and process monthly billing.Develop and execute strategic business plans to drive sales and profits.Manage the development and execution of special winery programs and various paid programs/events as well as all other future culinary or wine-related projects, whether at the winery or at an offsite or outside location.Manage protocol and procedures for winery service, events, and trade including staffing (temporary and regular) logistics.Manage outreach plan that drives traffic to the winery.Manage the selling and marketing of paid events.Manage maintenance of winery event facilities and equipment.Assure the Hospitality environments are clean, safe, and always maintain the highest level of appearance.Develop and maintain strong partnerships with Brand GM, Facilities GM, HR manager, and Finance manager.Demonstrate training and mentoring skills to successfully lead a large team in delivering a world-class consumer experience at all levels.Manage departmental/property reporting function(s) including but not limited to staff scheduling and accurate and timely payroll.Align with and support Brand Marketing initiatives and collaborate on annual programmed events such as new product release events and other annual consumer/trade experiences.Manage and motivate VC staff, delivering wine club sign-ups, revenue, and operating profit to plan.Knowledge and Skills:Must have excellent attention to detail and follow-through.Knowledge of and passion for wine and the culinary arts as well as providing world-class guest experiences.Experience with building and managing to department budgets and financial reporting.Must be organized and possess strong project management skills.Knowledge of wine and food service standards of customer service.Experience with educational program design preferred.Intermediate to advanced PC skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with Reserve software and Adobe publisher preferred.Education/Experience:At least 10 years’ experience in a luxury hospitality operation with management expertise.WSET II or Introductory Certification from the Court of Master Sommelier preferred.Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in the area of food service management or hospitality.Knowledge and experience of elevated level wine and food service standards and an understanding of luxury décor and presentation.Preferred QualificationsTIPS certified.Food Service Manager certified.Experience in hotel or restaurant work.Physical Requirements/Work EnvironmentAbility to walk and/or stand for extended periods of time.Ability to lift up to 50lbs.Must have a California driver’s license.Must be available to work a flexible schedule including some nights, weekends, and holidays.Travel among winery properties as needed.Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license.LocationNapa, CaliforniaJob TypeFull timeJob AreaHospitality & RetailThe salary range for this role is:$95,900.00 - $146,900.00This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, the prevailing minimum wage for the location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
