What do we need?The Multi-Age Teacher works with the Lead Teachers to provide a warm, loving atmosphere and classroom based on a philosophy of trauma-informed principles and goals. The Multi-Age Teacher supports the academic and social development of children ages 3 months - 5 years and their parents at the Center of Excellence Child Development Center. This is a full-time role.
ResponsibilitiesEncourages children's social, academic, and developmental skillsWelcomes, talks, and meets with parents as neededObserves and reports on the well-being of childrenMaintains a clean classroom by organizing, cleaning, and sanitizing dailyParticipates in classroom planning and facilitation of age-appropriate curriculumBuilds on the trauma-informed framework developed in the classroomsImplements sensory integration in the classroom in collaboration with the lead teacherPay and Benefits$25.00/hourMonday through Friday from 9:30 am to 6:00 pmMedical, dental, and vision insurance availableCompany-paid life and disability insurance401(k) with employer contribution at 6 months40 days of PTO per yearReduced cost parking or metro passCellphone reimbursementReduced childcare rates12 weeks of paid parental leaveFinancial wellness benefitFree lunch every dayThe chance to make a real difference in the communityRequirements:
High School Diploma or GED equivalency required. 2 year degree or CDA preferred2,080 hours as an aide or student intern in a licensed Child Care Program12 quarter credits relating to Child DevelopmentFirst Aid and CPR certified or willing to be certified within first 90 days of workMust be able to lift or move up to 50 lbs
