YesPosition Purpose:The Data Manager for the P30 Cancer Center Grant will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing data related to cancer center publications, grant awards received, and membership activities. The Data Manager will ensure accurate data collection, timely reporting, and effective communication with stakeholders to support the objectives and compliance of the P30 Cancer Center Grant. The Data manager will bring strong data management experience and skills (including data collection, wrangling and reporting as well as creating and documenting data-related procedures), superior organizational skills, computer and software proficiency including proficiency with Qualtrics, REDCap, Excel, and beyond.

Description:Required Qualifications - Education and Yrs Exp:

Bachelors plus 6 or more years' experience or combination of education and experienceRequired Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

Proven experience in data management or a related role.Familiarity with cancer research and related funding mechanisms (e.g. P, R, F awards).Proficiency in data management software and tools (e.g., Excel, REDCap, FileMaker Pro, specialized grant reporting systems (e.g. ASSIST , eRA Commons).Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.High level of judgment and problem-solving capabilities to resolve complex data issuesExceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Excellent organization and time management skills.Preferred Qualifications:

Key Accountabilities

Description:Publications Management:

Oversee the collection, organization, tracking, and reporting of all cancer related publications.Maintain and continue to build the existing database of publications, including author details, publication dates, journal information, etc.Collaborate with researchers to ensure reported publications are cancer related.Generate reports such as impact factor, inter/intra collaboration and other publication metrics as required by the NCI P30 and in alignment with cancer center objectives.Percentage Of Time:

Summary II Management:Collect, manage and maintain detailed records of grants received by cancer center members for Summary II (Data Table II) reporting.Prepare and submit periodic Summary II reports to cancer center program leaders and senior leadership.Prepare and submit Summary II metrics for RPPR , iRPPR, and renewal reporting as required in the NCI P30.Work closely with program leaders, finance teams, and research administrators to ensure accuracy and compliance in reporting.Percentage Of Time:

Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and confidentiality of data related to publications, Summary II, and membership records.Ensures reporting compliance with NCI P30 guidelines for all data setsImplement and maintain data management policies and procedures in compliance with grant and institutional guidelines.Conduct regular audits of data and processes to identify and rectify discrepancies.Provides insights on data such as areas that have grown, or areas that need growth.Percentage Of Time:

15Description:Reporting and Communication:

Prepare and present detailed data reports for internal and external stakeholders, including grant reviewers and center leadership.Addresses data-related inquiries and provides necessary documentation in a timely manner.Facilitates communication and coordination between researchers, administrative staff, and program leaders to identify changes in data sets early.Compile data reports from existing institutional and specialty (e.g., clinical trial) distributed databases to incorporate into broader composite center-wide activity reports.Percentage Of Time:

Maintain up-to-date records of cancer center membership, including appointments, titles, credentials, and other details related to membership.Coordinate with various departments to track and report on membership activities and participation.Provide regular reports on membership in various programs.Percentage Of Time:

Develops and deploys center related surveys using Qualtrics or other survey mechanism.Captures, maintains, and enters survey data into relevant databases.Tracks historical results for analysis.Surveys may include researcher awards, DEIB related metrics, pulse surveys, etc.Percentage Of Time:
