Lead the design, development, and execution of advanced data science initiatives for the Polarization Research Lab. This role focuses on managing all data-related activities, ensuring smooth integration across platforms. It includes mentoring a junior data scientist and providing expert insights to cross-functional teams to support data-driven decision-making and innovation.Required Qualifications

Education:

Master’s degree in Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline.Experience:

3+ years of hands-on experience in a data science role, with a proven ability to lead and execute data projects from start to finish.Technical Skills:

Proficiency in R, Python, SQL, and related data ecosystems for advanced data manipulation, analysis, and visualization.Machine Learning & NLP:

Experience applying machine learning models (e.g., regression, clustering) and natural language processing techniques to solve business problems.Web Development:

Experience developing web interfaces or dashboards that communicate complex data insights effectively to diverse stakeholders.Statistical Analysis:

Advanced knowledge of statistical techniques and methodologies, with practical experience in applying them to drive data-driven decision-making.API Integration:

Experience working with APIs (e.g., Google Ads, X, Meta) for data-driven optimizations and integrations.Preferred Qualifications

Cloud & Big Data: Familiarity with distributed computing and big data tools (e.g., AWS, Hadoop, Hive) and the ability to optimize workflows for large-scale data processing.Research & Publications: Experience contributing to publications or thought leadership in data science, including presenting at industry events or publishing research in journals.Team Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders to drive results.Responsibilities

Lead the entire process of collecting, processing, cleaning, validating, and managing large-scale datasets, ensuring data quality and consistency across multiple sources.Implement advanced data quality frameworks and automation tools to maintain high standards of data integrity and reliability across diverse datasets.Design, develop, and maintain robust server-side custom software solutions to enhance data processing capabilities and ensure seamless integration with existing systems. Optimize for scalability, performance, and alignment with strategic objectives.Oversee the continuous enhancement of public-facing data dashboards, ensuring they provide actionable insights, meet usability and accessibility standards, and evolve with stakeholder needs.Lead the design, development, and deployment of machine learning and natural language processing (NLP) models to address complex business challenges.Conduct sophisticated statistical analyses to support high-impact publications, white papers, and reports.Drive innovation in data science techniques and technologies.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data science efforts with broader business objectives, ensuring data insights drive decision-making and strategy.Equal Opportunity Employer
