NoPosition PurposeThe Director of Utility Operations is a key leadership position within the Facilities Operations & Management Department, responsible for the safe, effective operation of Dartmouth’s high/medium voltage, chilled water, hot water, and steam distribution systems. This includes developing and implementing operational strategies, overseeing day-to-day operations, financial management, and regulatory compliance. The Director will also recommend capital projects and improvements as part of Dartmouth’s capital budget process.Required QualificationsEducation and Experience:
Bachelor's degree plus 6 or more years' experience or combination of education and experience.Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in utility operations, with knowledge of steam, hot water, chilled water, and electrical systems.BA or BS degree in engineering, facility management, or related field, or equivalent experience.Demonstrated background in fiscal management.Strong organizational, personnel, and managerial experience.Ability to operate utility systems within regulatory requirements with a commitment to safety.Must qualify as a Dartmouth Approved Driver.Preferred Qualifications:Ability to build strong relationships with diverse groups.Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Department Contact for Recruitment Inquiries:Frank Roberts, AVP Energy & Utilities, FO&M - Frank.A.Roberts@dartmouth.eduEqual Opportunity Employer:Dartmouth College is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
