**Job Summary:** The Grant Coordinator works with program and administrative staff to provide guidance in the development of grants and post-award grant management to enhance successful implementation and compliance. You will report to the Grants Development Accounting Manager.
**Primary Tasks:**
1. You will coordinate the planning and preparation of grant proposals for assigned departments; provide guidance and assistance in the interpretation of funding agency regulations.
2. Provide guidance and technical assistance to departments and program staff on grants, including the research and identification of relevant funding opportunities.
3. Be liaison between program staff and granting agencies and collaborates with Finance Accounting in the budgeting and preparation of grant proposals.
4. Research agency and tribal requirements and prepares comprehensive budget justifications.
5. You will establish checklists, tracking systems., to ensure application requirements and deadlines are met observing granting agency requirements.
6. Analyze source materials and interpret data. Write funding application narratives.
7. Engage with databases to record and track grant documentation and data for statistical analysis. Reproduces data in charts, graphs, and other formats.
8. Monitor the administration of post-award grants to ensure that budgeting and administrative policies, procedures, and agency requirements are followed. Manage grant administration issues and budget/scope changes during the grant period.
9. Maintain current knowledge of grant policies, regulations, procedures; communicate information to assigned departments and program directors.
10. Perform other tasks as may be assigned.
**Requirements:**
* Bachelors degree in journalism, English, communications, business, or economics or 4 years related experience.
* Excellent writing ability
* Ability to meet deadlines
* Effective communication skills (phone, group/meeting interactions, one-on-one)
* Basic math skills for budget development
* Dynamic presentation skills
* Beginning user in Adobe Pro and Photoshop
* Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite
* Effective researcher using all available tangible and digital media
* Two years of related experience in grants
