A Day in the Life:
This individual will be responsible for the global accounting, analysis, and reporting of G&A, often from the initiation of a transaction to reporting financial results in a complex and fast-paced environment. They will be given the opportunity to interact with various Prologis departments globally and perform multiple assignments to meet deadlines with efficiency and accuracy. We are looking for someone who has strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, is forward-thinking, is a team player, has a customer service mind-set, and has a desire to continue to grow.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Prepare and analyze financial information related to global G&A for internal and external reporting schedules, such as management reports, the earnings supplemental, the 10Q/10K, proxy, and auditor requests.Prepare and analyze financial information related to capitalized G&A and income statement classification, including assessing capitalization by department and development project.Prepare and analyze financial information to assess proper capitalization of legal, IT, contract labor, and other G&A costs.Prepare account reconciliations for assigned areas in a timely manner, including reconciling Workday/ADP to Peoplesoft for North America payroll.Be an outstanding business partner to various departments and the global accounting team to facilitate reporting, analysis, and ad hoc requests in your assigned financial statement areas.Prepare and document accounting policies and processes for G&A, including but not limited to financial statement classification of G&A costs.Effectively utilize system tools to analyze and report G&A financial information. Make continuous improvement in assigned areas, especially as better system resources are available and the business evolves.Other duties and special projects as assignedBuilding blocks for success
Required:
Minimum three years of general accounting experience in a large multi-national company or public accounting.Bachelor's degree in accounting from a four-year college or university. CPA preferred.Advanced working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, especially as it related to capitalization of costs or demonstrated ability to learn the guidance quickly.Strong analytical, process improvement, organizational and problem-solving skillsHigh level of detail orientation and accuracyDisplay a strong sense of personal accountability to identify and work within required reporting timeline.Effective and professional communication with all levels throughout a global organization (oral and written).Advanced proficiency with Excel, ERP system, and system reporting tools (Sigma / nVision).Desire to continuously develop.
Hiring Salary Range of: $85,000-$104,000, Salary and whole compensation package (bonus target) to be determined by the candidate's location, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
