Senior Counsel, AIR (Anti-Infectives and Respiratory) and SITO (Strategy, Insights, Transformation and Operations),

position is critical to support our US Commercial AIR and SITO businesses by providing expert legal counsel on both a range of activities covering the promotion, distribution, and sale of Anti-infective and Respiratory medicines, and enterprise operations and strategic programs. Strategic-level thinking is essential, as is exceptional judgment and a strong work ethic. Must be energized by working on novel issues in a dynamic environment.

These responsibilities include some of the following:Serving as a key legal advisor on commercial activities involving Anti-infective and Respiratory medicines in the US, with a strong focus advising on the marketing and sales teams responsible for their promotional, sale and distribution.Serving as a brand lawyer for specific medicines with expertise advising on both promotional and non-promotional initiatives across a highly matrixed organization. The role requires substantial depth in at least one of the following areas: the fundamentals of FDA advertising and promotion, products liability or advising healthcare/life sciences clients. Experience with fraud and abuse, digital/tech innovation, US Privacy laws and/or antitrust laws is also valued. The ability to proactive identify potential issues and collaborate with legal subject matter experts in the US and other markets is critical.Counseling on the external legal environment relating to operating a pharmaceuticals business, with a clear understanding of industry practices.Leadership on cross-functional teams and the ability to work closely with matrix partners (e.g., Medical Affairs, Communications, Commercial Operations, Regulatory, Supply) to support the goals of the US commercial organization and effectively communicate complex information in clear and concise terms.Partnering with Compliance on risk identification and management activities, like Risk Management Plans, training and investigations.Managing outside counsel in limited circumstances.Why you?Basic Qualifications:We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:U.S. Juris Doctor (J.D.)Current member of a state barMinimum of 7 years industry experience - pharmaceuticals, vaccines, healthcare, and/or health technologyExperience in US FDA promotional laws/regulations or experience advising life science businesses.Preferred Qualifications:If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:NoneOur values and expectations
