Investment Analyst Fixed Income, Associate
to join its Investments Department. This position will be based out of NJM's West Trenton, NJ office and have a
hybrid
work schedule.

Compensation for the position is anticipated to be in the $67,000 to $78,000 range annually based upon experience and credentials. The position is also eligible to participate in NJM's annual incentive plan.
Reporting to the Manager of Fixed Income Investments, the Associate Fixed Income Investment Analyst will provide a range of responsibilities including:Evaluating investment returns, risk management, market research, setting investment objectives, asset allocation, and securities analysis.Ensure proper settlement of all securities transactions. Research and analyze assigned economic sectors.Research and analyze assigned universe of companies consisting of current NJM holdings or potential investments.Assess the investment thesis for each holding on an ongoing basis. Identify new investment opportunities. and present recommendations to the Portfolio Manager.Respond to audit inquiries.Monitor sector trends on an ongoing basis.Assess the impact on the financial market as well as on individual securities.Participate in departmental cross-training and in special projects.
Requirements:Undergraduate degree required. Should be planning to attain Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and/or MBARelevant investments experience preferred (will consider recent grads with a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant area of study with no experience but have an internship in a relevant area)Progressive knowledge of the investment process across a range of asset classesUnderstanding of financial markets and institutional investingExcellent oral and written communication skillsStrong working knowledge of Excel and databasesInquiring and analytically minded with a logical and thorough work ethicAbility to grasp issues and other innovative solutionsDemonstrate fiscal responsibility through efficient, conservative management of resourcesStrong organizational, problem-solving, and quantitative/analytical skillsLegal Disclaimer: NJM is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
