Team Based Care Delivery Model: with bedside RN, LPN, CNA36 or 48 Hour Contract5 West is a 40-bed non specialty med-surg unit caring for patients ages 18 and older. The staff cares for a variety of medical and telemetry patients with acute and/or chronic illness, such as sepsis, respiratory, gastrointestinal, endocrine, cardiac disease, and COVID-19. Staff members will manage titratable drips, chest tubes, tracheostomies, complex wound care, post-bariatric procedures, high oxygen delivery systems and end-of-life care.5 West will begin piloting a team-based care delivery model in January 2025 and wants to ensure that each team member is well versed and educated on how this model of care benefits not only the patient, but each staff member as well. Team based care is a group of licensed and unlicensed healthcare professionals working in unison towards a common goal to care for a group of patients. Our team-based care delivery model consists of Lead Nurses, bedside Registered Nurses, Virtual Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Nursing Assistants. Virtual nurses are incorporated into the team to perform administrative tasks that require an RN license but do not require physical presence (i.e., admission and discharge paperwork, patient education, dual nurse sign offs, etc.).Team based care allows for nurses to work at the top of their scope and effectively uses each team member’s strengths, skills, and experiences as well as promotes teamwork, communication, and leadership.Nebraska Medical Center - Nebraska Medical Center (NMC) is the No. 1 rated hospital in the Omaha metro area and the state of Nebraska. 2 years of prior MS/Telemetry experience pref (must have large, urban hospital experience)Drips are required on all floorsLevel l Trauma Center and Teaching Hospital experience requiredFirst timers NOT accepted (will consider if traveler has 2+ years of trauma experience and meets all other requirements)BLS requiredEPIC charting experience requiredWill float within scope to meet facility needs (this includes potentially floating to Bellevue campus)100% NICOTINE FREE FACILITYSchedule Information
Ratios: Days 1:8; Nights 1:9Float is requiredPending license accepted: Yes, but if license is not IN HAND at the time of submission then traveler will be booked six weeks out.RTO restrictions: Up to two weeks of RTO permitted. Additional requests after confirmation at manager discretion.Weekend Requirement: Two weekends in a four-week schedule period (Saturday/Sunday for day shift, Friday/Saturday for night shift).Additional Details

Facility also sells gray T-shirts that can be worn in their company store.Parking: Professionals can obtain a parking permit (cost depends on the lot, but is approx. $55/month) or they can use daily rate parking ($3 to park for 20 hrs).
