weaver.com .Position ProfileWeaver is looking for an Associate General Counsel to join its legal department. The role will include assisting the General Counsel and Associate General Counsel with reviewing and drafting contracts, monitoring licensing compliance, and responding to subpoenas.Job Responsibilities
include, but are not limited to:Assist in reviewing contract modificationsManage the firm’s compliance with states’ licensing requirementsWork closely and collaboratively with all members of Legal Department to develop and implement key legal processes and systems corporate wide, conduct legal research and analysis, and oversee clerical tasks as neededSupport drafting legal documents and developing and/or reviewing templatesManage the firm’s response to subpoenasWork with the marketing department to review potential governmental contract terms and evaluate the firm’s potential complianceAssist in corresponding with the firm’s insurance representatives and managing insurance renewalsManage insurance certificate requests and complianceAll other duties assignedTo be successful in this role, the following qualifications are
required:Proven ability to work successfully in a fast-paced legal department – i.e., highly organized self-starter with ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines with little supervisionHigh proficiency in MS Office SuiteExcellent communication skills - presentation, written, and verbalDocument management software experience; preferredLicensed attorneyWeaver BenefitsAt Weaver, our most valuable resource is our people.
