As a Special Projects Engineer at Anon, you'll work at the intersection of engineering, product, and business to tackle our most strategic technical initiatives. This hybrid role combines hands-on development with product strategy and customer insights, giving you broad impact across the organization. You'll collaborate directly with founders and leadership to identify, scope, and execute on projects that push the boundaries of what's possible with AI agent authentication.Key Responsibilities

Strategic Technical Ownership

Lead experimental technical initiatives from concept to productionEvaluate new technologies and approaches to solve complex integration challengesWork directly with founders to identify and prioritize high-impact opportunitiesTranslate customer needs into technical solutions and product featuresFull-Stack Development

Build and ship critical features across our entire technology stackDevelop proof-of-concept implementations and technical prototypesCreate example applications and integration demos for customersContribute to core platform architecture and design decisionsCross-functional Impact

Bridge communication between engineering, product, and business teamsParticipate in customer calls to gather technical requirements and provide solutionsInfluence product roadmap through technical insights and market understandingCreate technical content including documentation, blog posts, and developer guidesWhat We're Looking For

Technical Requirements

2-5 years of experience for Standard role; 5-8+ years for Senior roleStrong proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript and at least one backend language (Rust, Go)Experience with modern cloud infrastructure and distributed systemsTrack record of shipping complex technical products end-to-endFamiliarity with authentication systems and API designExperience with browser automation tools is a plusBusiness & Product Acumen

Prior startup experience as a founder, early employee, or technical product leaderDemonstrated ability to understand customer needs and translate them to technical solutionsExperience presenting technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiencesStrong product intuition and ability to balance technical trade-offs with business impactCulture & Mindset
