Job Title: Locum Tenens Physician Job Specialty: Gastroenterology Job Duration: Ongoing; 2 weeks per month Shift: Day - 5x8 - 9am - 5pm (40 Hours) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Not mentioned, but ERCP experience is preferred License: Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required Must-Have: Board Certification or Eligibility in Gastroenterology Job Description: - Provide coverage in Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology for a hospital setting.- Conduct up to 8 hours per day of scheduled outpatient procedures.- Perform specialty skills including, but not limited to: - Upper GI endoscopy with biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder, injection of varices - ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography) both diagnostic and therapeutic - PEG (Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy) procedures - Esophageal dilatation and manometry, along with interpretation - Small bowel and liver biopsies - Lower GI endoscopy, including sigmoidoscopy and colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision - Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) - Insertion and management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tube- No clinic coverage required.- Facility trauma level: 4- Pediatric level: 2 Additional Information: - Nearest Airport: El Paso- Lodging Recommendations: Hilton Garden Inn, Courtyard by Marriott, Home2Suites- Estimated credentialing timeframe: 45-60 daysAvailability for certain dates is required: Dec 13 - 27.Ideal candidates will possess comprehensive skills and knowledge in gastroenterological procedures and patient care.
