Secret Linux Administrator

Insight Global is looking for a cleared Linux Administrator to sit hybrid in Lexington Park, MD supporting a large government customer. This person will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting of Linux servers and associated systems. They will also be responsible for monitoring system performance, identifying issues and implementing solutions to ensure systems reliability and efficiency, along with the developing and maintain scripts for automation systems.
Salary Range - $115,00 - $150,000

Required Skills & Experience -Secret clearance (can cage higher) -Minimum of 5 years of experience in Linux system administration, with a focus on Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, or similar distributions - Proficiency in Linux server management, shell scripting, and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet) Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, routing, and network services -Experience with implementing and managing security measures, including SELinux (Security Enhanced), firewalls, and intrusion detection systems -Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Nice to Have Skills & Experience -Relevant certifications such as RHCE, CompTIA Linux+, or LPIC -Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) -Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM, or Docker) -Experience with administering databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle on Linux platforms)
