Job Description
Description of Primary ResponsibilitiesEstablishes network specifications.
Consults with users on new and existing technology projects.Analyzes workflows, access, information, and security requirements.Responsible for planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment and software.Assists in defining network policies and procedures, establishing connections, interfaces, and firewalls.
Maintains network performance.
Performs network monitoring and analysis.Continuous performance tuning, troubleshooting network problems, escalating problems to vendor.Manages network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput, and latency.
Secures network by developing network access, monitoring, and control.
Maintains the security documentation.Installs and manages software and security patches.
Upgrades and maintains network hardware and software.
Confers with vendors.Tests and implements enhancements.
Provides financial input.
Submits information for budgets.Monitors expenses.
Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.Responsible for installing, configuring and maintaining terminal servers.
Updates and recommends the purchasing of terminal server licenses.
Responsible for various processes.
Maintains, configures and tests Network backup systems.
Provides training and instructions for users and Network Technicians. Assists with the EHR system.Responsible for performing routine and emergency maintenance on data center equipment.Maintains library of associated materials of equipment, processes and procedures.Responsible for managing the Practice Management System server hardware.Performs other duties as assigned.Description of Primary Attributes
Professional & Technical Knowledge:
Possesses work-related skills at a higher level than completion of high school, including formal written and verbal communications skills, computational and computer skills, mathematical, technical or health care related knowledge frequently acquired through completion of a trade school, para-professional, or certificate type program.Job duties require specific knowledge and training in Information Systems or equivalent work experience.Cross-trains in WAN, Server, and IP Telephony Systems administration.Associate's Degree preferred.Technical Skills:
Ability to prepare more complex documents in Microsoft Word, including creating tables, charts, graphs and other elements.Ability to use Microsoft Excel to review and compile data, including the use of formulas, functions, lookup tables and other standard spreadsheet elements.Ability to create basic presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint.Licenses & Certifications: None required.
Communications Skills:
Job duties require the compilation of information prepared in effective written form, including correspondence, reports, articles or other documentation.Effectively conveys technical information to non-technical audiences.

Min Hourly Rate: $27.89
