Senior Software Engineer
to join our team located in the
Ft. Meade, MD
area. As a member of our team, you will provide assistance to our esteemed customer. The Software Engineer will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving intricate software systems in accordance with specified requirements.
Responsibilities:The Software Engineer develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements.
Works individually or as part of a team. Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results. Resolves software problem reports.
Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the
development environment.
Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.
Minimum Requirements:JavaScript, HTML, Script Includes, Custom Scripts, and CSS (ex Customer Entry Portals)
ServiceNow Web Services (ex REST) with the ability to integrate external source systems into ServiceNow
Server Linux O/S
Administration/Maintenance.
Have the ability to perform platform upgrades/patch application
DevOps scripting tools
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
Preferred Requirements:Experience with jQuery, AngularJS, JSON, and Jelly
Advanced
skills
such as workflow automation and custom application development
Experience with design and implementations of ServiceNow integrations and interfaces with 3rd party
applications and
data sources using extensible markup language (XML), Email web services, JAVA DB connectivity, LDAP, REST, ODBC, MariaDB, and Excel
Ability to troubleshoot system and responsible for Tier(s) 1-3
Have the ability to quickly learn new processes, systems and integrations with ServiceNow
Ability to create and configure business rules, UI policies/actions, client/server-side scripts, script includes, and ACLs
Use of SCRUM/Agile Board 2.0 development methodologies
Able to work with team development policies to migrate data to
update production
systems
Ability to contribute to the coordination of application and platform upgrades. Monitor the health, usage, and overall compliance of ServiceNow and applications
Write clear, concise, and accurate technical documentation: Requirements, S
System Design, CONOPS, Use Case diagrams, and topology diagrams
Security Clearance Requirements:Current/Active TS/SCI with
Polygraph
The projected compensation range for this position is $99,200.00-$164,600.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
