UAB Spain Rehabilitation Center is opening an 11-story, state-of-the-art inpatient rehabilitation facility in spring 2025. The new UAB Rehabilitation Pavilion will include 78 rehabilitation beds and the latest technology – all designed to promote functional activity at every turn. Our team of highly skilled therapists practice in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, providing comprehensive, evidence-based care that’s focused on each patient and their road to recovery. We support professional clinical development by empowering our clinicians through mentorship and other growth opportunities that elevate our standard of care. Job Description:
To plan, develop and coordinate activities that support the Prospective Payment System (PPS) for Spain Rehabilitation Center (SRC). To complete and submit the Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility Assessment Instrument (IRF-PAI) for each inpatient with Medicare as a funding source. To complete Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility assessment instrument (IRF-PAI) for all payer sources for quality improvement tracking. To ensure accurate patient functional status scores, educating and training staff when needed. To ensure compliance with all state and federal requirements regarding the transmission of information.
Qualifications
Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing or a licensed allied health professional and five (5) years relevant experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, Speech Language Pathologist or Clinical Social Worker by the appropriate State of Alabama Board required. Must obtain the Uniform Data System for Medical Rehabilitation (UDSMR) IRF-PAI certification within one (1) year from date of hire into position.
