VCA Advanced Veterinary Care Center is hiring an experienced client-focused Registered Veterinary Technician to join our Emergency team as a Triage Technician!

Our Triage Technician acts as a liaison between clients and our Emergency team from when they arrive at VCA AVCC until they are discharged or hospitalized.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
Patient Triage:
Perform rapid and accurate triage assessmentProvide compassionate, caring support to all clients moving through the triage processAdminister emergency first aid and life-saving treatments as directed by veterinariansObtain a brief history and vitals from clients for all incoming triagesRelay critical information to veterinarians and other team members to facilitate prompt decision-makingMaintain accurate and thorough medical recordsProvide frequent updates to clients waiting for emergency servicesCollaborate with support staff to maintain an organized and efficient workflowRespond to referring DVM or client inquiries over the phoneAid patients into and out of vehicles
Requirements:
3+ years experience as a Registered Veterinary TechnicianAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentExcellent verbal communication skillsProficient in triageAbility to lift 40 lbs
Schedule: Overnight shifts
Shift Differential: We offer a shift differential to all hourly associates who work within a specific timeframe.
