Job Summary
The Director of Master Data Platform will establish and oversee the development and implementation of master data management strategies, focusing on key information domains, providing strategic and operational leadership for technical and business resources.
This role will play a pivotal role in transforming master data elements from various legacy sources into an enterprise source of truth within the Informatica platform. This is a senior IT leadership role that is accountable for championing the development of data, analytics, AI and innovation IT strategy.
Leadership and Strategic Planning
• Lead and Mentor Departmental Teams: Collaborate with key stakeholders, including steering committees and other IT executives, to define and implement the department's strategic goals.
• Manage Key Projects: Take ownership of major projects, ensuring they align with corporate strategy, have well-defined budgets, timelines, and deliver expected business benefits.
• Business Acumen: Develop a comprehensive understanding of the organization's various business processes and the systems that support them.
• Data Management: Establish and maintain data governance frameworks, standards and best practices to support ongoing data management activities.
Operational Excellence
• Continuous Improvement: Understand and enhance project and support methodologies, focusing on quality and cost control.
• Systems and Design: Utilize a broad understanding of systems design to provide architectural and technical guidance.
• Quality Assurance: Oversee the quality of team output, diagnosing and addressing root causes of any quality issues and ensuring application reliability and availability to meet business objectives.
• Data Governance: Define and implement data governance metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of the data governance program.
People Management and Team Development
• Personnel Strategy: Lead personnel-related activities such as recruiting, retention, and performance management.
• Resource Allocation: Efficiently allocate resources, ensuring timely project completion and minimizing business disruption.
• Policy and Procedure: Review, question, and enhance departmental policies, standards, and methodologies.
• Financial Oversight: Maintain cost control within your area of responsibility.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent experience.
Work Experience
At least 10 years of IT and Data Engineering and Analytics with at least 4 years of leadership experience.
Qualifications
Demonstrable experience in managing large-scale IT projects from conception to completion.
Proven experience in IT strategy development and execution.
Strong understanding of SAP S/4 HANA and its integration with Informatica.
Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
Extensive experience leading large-scale master data management initiatives in the global environment.
Experience with enterprise architecture and cloud-based solutions.
Understanding of IT security protocols and compliance requirements.
Demonstrable experience in aligning IT functions with business goals and objectives.
Experience in negotiating with and managing third-party vendors.
Proven skills in budget preparation, analysis, decision-making, and enforcement within financial objectives.
