What You Will Do: Design, develop, and maintain the architecture for Microsoft Windows clients, leveraging industry best practices. Test and validate new applications and changes to ensure compliance with the firm's technology standards and compatibility with existing systems. Provide advanced troubleshooting for complex issues related to the client operating system and standard applications. Oversee the successful testing, implementation, and transition of solutions into production environments. Identify and design detailed technology solutions tailored to specific business needs. Manage desktop security updates, ensuring a disciplined approach for timely implementation. Automate the deployment of applications, patches, hot-fixes, and security updates. Collaborate with vendors and third-party integrators to deliver application solutions and resolve ongoing issues. Effectively manage software life cycles and contribute to budget planning. Develop and maintain Group Policies (GPO) as well as the Windows client image. Establish technical standards for the secure and reliable integration of new technologies within the Windows client environment. Create and document firm standards for desktop technologies in partnership with leadership. Manage changes in the production desktop environment. Resolve escalated incidents using strong problem management skills. Lead cross-functional team projects to implement new or updated technologies. Exhibit professionalism and quality service, maintaining a positive attitude in all interactions with internal teams, clients, and vendors. Manage and update both physical and virtual desktop environments, including related images. Oversee and troubleshoot the Horizon View VDI infrastructure (including Horizon View, vSphere, vRealize Operations, etc.) and associated desktops. Conduct maintenance in line with IT change management policies. Provide user support and guidance to IT staff, including documentation and hands-on demonstrations of troubleshooting techniques. Who You Are: BA/BS degree or equivalent experience. 5-7 years of experience in relevant technologies and business skills. Proficient in Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems. Experienced in developing and maintaining Group Policies (GPO) and Active Directory. Skilled in PowerShell, VB (Visual Basic), or other scripting languages. Knowledgeable in application packaging with Flexera AdminStudio or similar technologies. Experienced in deploying software using enterprise tools like Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM). Strong understanding of application installations on Microsoft Windows platforms. Familiar with VDI technologies, especially VMware Horizon. Working knowledge of VMware vCenter and the image creation process using MECM. In-depth knowledge of Windows client security configurations and best practices. Additional Knowledge in One or More Areas: Updating applications in Citrix XenApp. Client security and encryption solutions, such as Microsoft BitLocker. Familiarity with anti-virus technologies. Understanding of network communication protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL/TLS). Strong customer service orientation and ability to build effective working relationships with peers and management. Ability to resolve issues independently following established policies and procedures. Knowledge of ITIL Service Management principles. Capability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities effectively. Experience in managing projects on time and within budget, including writing project charters. Ability to develop and document standard operating procedures. Experience in a law firm or professional services environment. Availability for rotating on-call support for after-hours needs and escalations.
