What You'll Do: Test and package new applications, application updates and Operating Systems to confirm that they meet the firms technology standards and do not conflict with existing applications or services. Provide advanced troubleshooting for complex issues that appear to be related to the client operating system and/or any of the applications that are included in the standard client image. Ensure successful testing, implementation, and transition of solutions to production. Manage desktop security updates and follow a disciplined approach to implementing processes to ensure a timely delivery of these updates. Responsible for automating the deployment of applications, patches, hot-fixes and security updates. Work with vendors and 3rd party integrators to deliver customer application solutions and resolve existing issues. Effectively manage software life-cycles. Responsible for development, maintenance, support and documentation of responsible applications and solutions. Resolve escalated incidents using problem management skills. Manage cross-functional team projects to implement new or updated technology. Displays professionalism, quality service and a "can do" attitude to internal members/departments of the Firm as well as external clients and vendors via electronic and in-person interactions. Manage and update the physical and virtual (VDI) desktop environments and related images. Managing and troubleshooting the Horizon VDI infrastructure (Horizon, vSphere, vRealize Operations, etc) and related desktops. Performs maintenance in accordance with Information Technology change management policies. Education, Experience and Skills Required: BA/BS or equivalent work experience. 5-7 years of experience in relevant technology and business skills as detailed above. Deep knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop Operating Systems. Strong understanding of of Group Policies (GPO/GPP) and Active Directory. Strong understanding and experience with scripting using PowerShell Strong understanding deploying software using enterprise deployment technologies such as Microsoft Configuration Manager (formerly SCCM) and Microsoft Intune. A thorough understanding of packaging and how applications install on Microsoft Windows platforms In depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows Client security configurations and best practices. Strong analytical and problem solving skills Strong documentation skills Strong customer service and interpersonal skills Additional knowledge, capabilities and responsibilities: Client Security and encryption solutions such as Microsoft Bitlocker and Defender. Knowledge of VDI technologies such as VMware Horizon and application virtualization. A strong customer service orientation and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers, management, end users and others throughout the firm. Ability to resolve problems independently in accordance with defined policies and procedures. Knowledge of ITIL Service Management principles. Must be flexible to shifting priorities and be detail oriented Ability to multi-task effectively and manage competing priorities. Working knowledge of Microsoft Entra. Effectively manage projects on-time Experience working in a law firm or other professional services environment. Requires rotating on-call for after-hours support and escalations.
