Staff Accountant
Location: Hybrid | Lansing, MI
Compensation: $60,000 - $70,000
Schedule: M-F 8am-5pm

We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our client's team in Lansing, MI. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work both in-office and remotely, with a full time schedule. Key Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable (AP), including invoice processing and cash disbursements
• Reconcile cash activity between the bank and company records
• File monthly sales and use taxes
• Record journal entries, including cash, prepaids, and accruals
• Complete account reconciliations and ensure accuracy in financial records

Qualifications:

• Must Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (open to recent graduates with internships)
  • At least 1 year of experience in general accounting (AP/AR/GL)
  • Strong understanding of GAAP
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Experience or familiarity with data analytics
• Preferred:
  • Experience with NetSuite and AP/AR processing
  • Knowledge of state and use tax regulations
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Background in healthcare
