Position Overview:
As a Cost Accountant/Analyst, you will play a crucial role in our client's financial operations, supporting the company's cost management, budgeting, and financial analysis processes. Your contributions will be integral to maintaining cost efficiency and ensuring the continued success and growth of our client's manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Cost Analysis: Perform cost analysis, review manufacturing costs, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Cost Control: Develop and implement cost control measures, ensuring alignment with budgetary guidelines.
Financial Reporting: Contribute to the preparation of financial reports and statements related to manufacturing costs.
Budget Management: Assist in creating and monitoring manufacturing budgets, tracking expenses and variances.
Inventory Valuation: Participate in inventory valuation and reconciliation processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Variance Analysis: Analyze and report on variances between budgeted and actual costs, providing insights to management.
Process Improvement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements related to cost management.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, particularly related to manufacturing costs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in cost accounting and financial analysis, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in financial analysis tools and accounting software.
- Excellent knowledge of cost accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
