As a CFO with this CFS client, you will provide visionary financial and organizational leadership, ensuring financial health and driving strategic goals. This role is perfect for a dynamic leader who thrives on making an impact. The CFO will report to the CEO and will be a key player in presenting financial information to the Board of Directors and senior leadership.
CFO Responsibilities:
- Direct and coordinate all activities of the Finance department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Work closely with the President/CEO, Board of Directors, and senior leaders to guide financial strategy and monitor business impacts.
- Establish and maintain robust financial policies and internal controls, setting a high standard of financial integrity.
- Lead and coordinate budget planning across departments, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Present financial information to key stakeholders, including the Board of Directors, senior leadership, and external partners.
- Develop strong relationships with external auditors, banking and finance communities, and key suppliers.
- Assess and enhance the finance team's effectiveness, ensuring appropriate staffing and development.
- Collaborate with the VP IT and Director on ERP system upgrades, providing leadership as needed.
Ideal CFO Profile:
- Must have held the CFO title for a minimum of 5 years, depending on the size and scope of experience.
- Strong strategic thinker with a heart for mission and head for business.
- Willing to mentor direct reports to prepare them for expanded responsibilities.
- Tech-savvy, experienced with automations, and comfortable leading change.
CFO Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Licensed Certified Public Accountant.
- 10+ years of financial leadership experience.
- Cost accounting experience in manufacturing, government contracting, or related fields.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
CFO Preferences:
- Experience with board presentations and dealing with many personalities.
- Nonprofit mindset preferred; transition from for-profit to nonprofit to give back to the community.
- Familiarity with government contracting and multifaceted business operations.
- Experience working in environments with revenue around or above $100 million annually.
Compensation:
- Up to $225,000.00, depending on experience
- Bonus eligible
