Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

As a CFO with this CFS client, you will provide visionary financial and organizational leadership, ensuring financial health and driving strategic goals. This role is perfect for a dynamic leader who thrives on making an impact. The CFO will report to the CEO and will be a key player in presenting financial information to the Board of Directors and senior leadership.

CFO Responsibilities:

  • Direct and coordinate all activities of the Finance department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Work closely with the President/CEO, Board of Directors, and senior leaders to guide financial strategy and monitor business impacts.
  • Establish and maintain robust financial policies and internal controls, setting a high standard of financial integrity.
  • Lead and coordinate budget planning across departments, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Present financial information to key stakeholders, including the Board of Directors, senior leadership, and external partners.
  • Develop strong relationships with external auditors, banking and finance communities, and key suppliers.
  • Assess and enhance the finance team's effectiveness, ensuring appropriate staffing and development.
  • Collaborate with the VP IT and Director on ERP system upgrades, providing leadership as needed.

Ideal CFO Profile:

  • Must have held the CFO title for a minimum of 5 years, depending on the size and scope of experience.
  • Strong strategic thinker with a heart for mission and head for business.
  • Willing to mentor direct reports to prepare them for expanded responsibilities.
  • Tech-savvy, experienced with automations, and comfortable leading change.

CFO Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Licensed Certified Public Accountant.
  • 10+ years of financial leadership experience.
  • Cost accounting experience in manufacturing, government contracting, or related fields.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.

CFO Preferences:

  • Experience with board presentations and dealing with many personalities.
  • Nonprofit mindset preferred; transition from for-profit to nonprofit to give back to the community.
  • Familiarity with government contracting and multifaceted business operations.
  • Experience working in environments with revenue around or above $100 million annually.

Compensation:

  • Up to $225,000.00, depending on experience
  • Bonus eligible
