Setton Pistachio of Terra Bella, Inc. is seeking a high performing and motivated accounting professional to join our Finance department as a Senior Accountant in our Terra Bella, CA office, with direct reporting responsibility into the Corporate Accounting management team located in NY. In this role, you will be responsible for performing daily and monthly accounting duties and assigned ad hoc accounting project related work.

*Primary Responsibilities:** Perform finance activities for the plant and farm accounts that include, but are not limited to: reconciliation(s), recording journal entries, analyze general ledger accounts, daily Accounts Payable and data entry tasks* Perform banking responsibilities that include, but are not limited to: cash/check deposits, ach payment verification and issuance, banking entries in Sage 300 and monthly bank reconciliations* Assist with the review and posting of Accounting journal entries entered by the Accounts Payable staff* Enter weekly payroll and 401(k) entries and assist with complicated payroll tasks on an as needed basis* Perform monthly, quarterly and annual account analyses* Process Agricultural statements annually in April* Complete annual and bi-annual SEC filings for each of the farming entities as well as the operating entity* Prepare financial and analytical reports as well as ad hoc reporting as requested by management by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends* Identify and report any findings deemed necessary to the Corporate team located in NY* Assist with the annual audit as required by management* Perform special projects and other related duties as assigned* Document and improve processes and controls in his or her areas of responsibility* Develop strong and effective working relations with our vendors, contractors, Corporate staff, Production personnel and Grower/Farming personnel* Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies

· Identify opportunities for improving processes, implementing best practices, and optimizing the efficiency of the Department

*Skills and Qualifications:** Bachelor of Science/Arts degree concentrated in Accounting* Minimum of 5+ years working in an Accounting role* Experience working within the Agricultural industry, preferred* Experience with the accounting system, Sage 300 a plus* Proficient in Excel (vlookups, pivot tables) and other Microsoft Office suite products* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.* Effective organizational skills to meet tight deadlines* Ability to multi-task and be a team player* Ability to work the extra hours necessary to get the job done during closing periods

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
