Overview of the Logistics Coordinator role:
- Ensures that all shipping deadlines are met and orders are delivered to warehouse in a timely fashion
- Serves as point of contact for the fulfillment facilities and vendor shipping team, as well as other internal collaborators
- Coordinates routing of domestic purchase orders as well as the delivery schedules and accurate bills of lading
- Updating shipments as required on organization's internal tracking system
- Properly communicate with upper management on any urgent issues
- Coordinate with trucking companies to ensure timely pick up of shipments
- Prepare advance shipping notification with warehouse prior to shipment arrivals
- Coordinate with vendors and carriers on warehouse availability and requirement
- Weekly reporting as needed
Preferred Qualifications for the Logistics Coordinator:
- 1+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, or Sourcing
- Advanced proficiency with MS Excel
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to lead presentations with management
- Strong knowledge of both MS Office and Google Suite
- Meet tight deadlines
- Strong analytic and problem solving skills
- Experience with SalesForce or a similar application
- 3+ years of Customer Service experience
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment
- Great communication and follow-through
