Overview Knowledge Services is seeking a Mulesoft Developer for a 3-month contract-to-hire role in Fishers, IN. Hybrid work schedule with a few days onsite each week in Fishers, IN. Please note that we cannot consider any third-party candidates, those requiring C2C, or anyone requiring sponsorship for a work visa. Responsibilities Mulesoft Developer Responsibilities: The Integration Developer plays a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining integration solutions using the MuleSoft platform. This position ensures that system integrations meet business needs, are scalable, and are implemented according to industry best practices. Working closely with the Integration Manager and other developers, the Integration Developer contributes to the successful delivery of integration projects, aligning technical solutions with organizational goals and ensuring the continuous improvement of integration processes. Integration Development and Implementation (40%): Design, develop, test, and deploy MuleSoft integration solutions that meet business requirements. Ensure the solutions are scalable, reliable, and adhere to best practices, while aligning with the companys overall architecture. System Optimization and Maintenance (25%): Continuously monitor and optimize existing integration processes. Troubleshoot issues, apply patches, and maintain the overall health of the integration platform to support business continuity. Collaboration and Problem Solving (20%): Work closely with business analysts, system architects, and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions. Address technical challenges with proactive solutions and work within project timelines to deliver high-quality integrations. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing (10%): Document technical specifications, system configurations, and troubleshooting guides. Contribute to team knowledge-sharing efforts by helping colleagues understand the platform and its functionality. Other Duties as Assigned (5%): Support the integration team in other areas as needed, including participating in cross-functional projects and technical initiatives that drive the companys integration strategy. Qualifications Mulesoft Developer Requirements: Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. 3 years of experience in MuleSoft development and enterprise integration. MuleSoft Certified Developer Level 1 (or actively pursuing certification) preferred. Experience in enterprise integration patterns, REST/SOAP services, and API lifecycle management. Strong experience with MuleSoft platform development, including API integration, data transformation, and error handling. Proven ability to develop, test, and implement integration solutions using the MuleSoft Anypoint platform. Familiarity with API specifications such as RAML, dynamic routing, and content-based routing. Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve integration issues quickly and efficiently. Knowledge of standard integration patterns such as message transformation, aggregation, and error handling. Familiarity with Continuous integration and delivery practices Basic knowledge regarding building and optimizing SQL queries Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, with strong communication skills to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Experience using Mule MUnit or similar testing tools to ensure performance, scalability, and stability of integration solutions. Familiarity with Agile development practices and experience working in a fast-paced development environment. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
