Bring your passion, potential and talents to a career that matters.Department OverviewThe Software Enterprise Deployment and Integration team delivers solutions to the public safety market (911, Police, Fire, EMS) that include 911 Dispatch Centers, Fire Agencies, and Police Agencies . Products include Computer Aided Dispatch, Records Management Systems, Integration with Radio Systems, Call Handling equipment, Reporting applications, and Fire Station Alerting systems. The Solution Architect understands the core product being deployed and integrates and delivers interfaces to critical functional areas within the larger customer domain.Job Description The Solution Architect is the Technical Authority providing overall technical leadership for the project implementation. Works with customers to understand overall solution needs and functionality of MSI and third party applications. Takes ownership of the technical solution from pre and post-sale. Works with the project manager to develop the project deployment schedule. Identify technical risks of the projects and works with PM on mitigation plans. Identify customer expectation mismatch to how products work and works with PM on mitigation plans. Technical counterpart with the PM in third party vendor, customer, and internal facing meetings. Owns project change control as it pertains to the overall technical solution. Preferred Qualifications 2 years experience in a software discipline: Systems Integration, Software Engineering, Product Development, System Test, System Support, or Information Technology. Public Safety experience preferred Proficiency in the following areas a plus Windows Server 2019 or newer SQL Server 2019 or newer SQL scripting (T-SQL) helpful Proficiency with XML, XPATH, Extensible Stylesheet Language Transformations (XSLT) helpful Must be a self motivated team player Must have very good communication skills Should have general networking knowledge Knowledge of packet capture tools, a plus This position is a remote position and candidates can be located anywhere in the US. This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers.
