This opportunity features a growing team of motivated and technically-skilled contributors, the ability to travel to domestic and international locations, and experience integrating cutting-edge technology like unmanned systems, AI/ML, and data compilation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud computing, containerization technologies, and data management. This role will bring significant job satisfaction to anyone interested in ensuring the seamless deployment, scaling, and management of applications in a cloud environment to support the Department of Navy's fleet operations and exercises. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and implement cloud-based data tracts to optimize data storage, retrieval, and management. Architect and maintain containerization strategies using Docker, Kubernetes, and other relevant technologies. Collaborate with NIWC Atlantic and Government sponsor teams to ensure the smooth integration and deployment of applications. Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability. Develop and maintain automated continuous integration and delivery pipelines for the deployment of containerized applications. Provide acceptance testing for system integration across multiple cloud domains. Ensure security and compliance best practices are implemented across cloud environments at various impact levels i.e. IL2-7. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, data tracts, and containerized applications. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. 5 years of experience in technology solutions development, including operations, engineering, networking, infrastructure, or database architecture. 3 years of experience in cloud engineering, with a focus on data management and containerization. Proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Strong experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Solid understanding of data management practices and technologies. Familiarity with Government Impact Levels - IL2 - IL7 Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., BitBucket, GitLab CI/CD). Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance. Preferred Qualifications: Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert). Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell. Familiarity with Government Risk Management Framework processes Travel Features an opportunity to travel up to 25% of the time to both domestic and international locations such as Italy, Germany, Bahrain, Florida, California, etc. Travel will be communicated well in advance and will not normally exceed one work week at a time.
