CACI is looking for a Systems Engineer to supports the US Government in the development, integration, test, and operation of operational and developmental military systems (airborne and ground) at various locations. The System Engineer provides critical hands-on, remote, and on-site support necessary for the successful development, implementation, and issue resolution for new and fielded software and operational systems.
The Opportunity:
The System Engineer provides critical hands-on, remote, and on-site support necessary for the successful development, implementation, and issue resolution for new and fielded software and operational systems.
Responsibilities:
Refine and enhance deployed applications to best meet US Government/operational requirements.
Optimize legacy operational software as necessary to meet continuously evolving cyber security need.
Apply system-level knowledge (operating system and hardware) to diagnose issues and provide solutions, • Profile, analyze, and optimize legacy software systems.
Support ground system infrastructure for deployed US Government systems including pre-mission configuration management and post-mission data workflow.
Develop automation for rapid system build and testing.
Work with government stakeholders and third-party vendors to troubleshoot and develop solutions for successful integrations.
Propose new features and capabilities to enhance existing capabilities
Create and maintain user technical and administrative documentation.
Develop technical roadmaps to ensure proper level of support to meet evolving operational needs.
Support software development phases with emphasis on requirements, planning, analysis, and system integration.
Install and test software on operational systems.
Translate user requests and trouble tickets into requirements and/or technical diagnoses; develop solutions to meet user needs.
Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS to meet the customer’s mission needs.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor's degree in a related field; or 10+ years of recent specialized experience
Experience and knowledge in Navy Distributed SIGINT Operations (DSO)
Experience with installing, integrating, and configuring DSO systems and operational networks
Experience in troubleshooting DSO operational systems and networks
Strong knowledge of Routing Protocol Configurations, OSI 7 Layer Model, IPv4 and IPv6, DNS, DHCP
Experience with working on classified transport networks
Experience with troubleshooting network connectivity issues
Knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or CentOS
Knowledge of configuration and troubleshooting for Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) firewalls
Knowledge of Python, Java, and SQL
Knowledge of Cisco routing and switching technology
Current US Department of Defense 8570 Approved IAT II or higher baseline certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent/higher). Must be obtainable within 90 days of start.
