CME Group is looking for a Senior Windows Systems Engineer, working out of our New York or Chicago office, to join our Server team. In this role you will work on driving our core infrastructure forward, leveraging the latest and greatest technologies to help improve our IT operations. Responsibilities: Design, build and maintain Windows Server environments Leverage automation for deploying and supporting on-premises and cloud infrastructure Partner with the Identity and Security teams on the design, implement, and support of our centralized identity and access management solution Partner with the Security team to ensure we are adhering to security best practices across all environments including patch remediation and system hardening Review and improve upon existing monitoring systems and process Perform Windows OS performance tuning Author and maintain computer system design documentation, diagrams, processes and procedures Promote and adopt Infrastructure as Code across all IT Be a mentor to junior IT staff Participate in an on-call rotation Requirements and Desirable Skills: Self-starter with a passion for technology and problem solving Experience as a senior windows engineer Deep knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python using git and vs code Cloud experience, Google Cloud preferred Deep knowledge of Windows operating systems Deep knowledge of implementing and supporting Active Directory Knowledge of TCP/IP and multicast Extensive experience with configuration management systems such as SCCM, DSC, Chef or Terraform Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills Ability to present complex, technical ideas in a clear and concise manner to non-technical audiences
