The following information provides an overview of the skills, qualities, and qualifications needed for this role.
We currently have Full-time and Per Diem openings in our Urgent Care for a CMA/RMA to provide direct patient care under the supervision of appropriate staff. Our MAs interact professionally and courteously with patients, families and their colleagues to ensure the highest quality care and patient satisfaction.
To support our delivery of quality patient care you will:
Manage patient flow and room patients, gathering pertinent information for the provider (e.g. gathering patient history, taking vital signs, specimen collection, blood draws, simple diagnostic testing, etc.) and prepping patients for office procedures.
Respond to patient inquiries and prescription refill requests in a timely manner, and seek assistance as appropriate in referring patient inquiries to the correct source.
Uses Electronic Medical Records and other computer and electronically based programs to provide safe, effective care and ensure accurate and appropriate documentation of clinical care in accordance with VRH policies and guidelines.
Help out in a busy physician practice helping teammates with faxing, copying, and other administrative tasks as needed.
To join the Valley Regional team you will have:
RMA or AAMA CMA certification
Prior experience in a physician practice setting preferred
Strong focus on patient satisfaction and quality of care
Proficiency in using an Electronic Medical Record
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work in a professional and courteous manner at all times
Ability to take direction and assist the team as needed
Demonstrated ability to ensure
Confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
