As the Director of Corporate Sales, you’ll combine your love for great food and beverage and client engagement! Develop a holistic understanding of the Blue Plate vision and Delivery business line strategic goals, initiatives, and tactics.Work closely with the Vice President of Sales to set and achieve ambitious sales goals, leveraging your networking, prospecting, and client-conversion skills.Meet and exceed Delivery team monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals by seeking new business through networking and prospecting, converting prospects to clients, and meeting client expectations through effective communication, event planning, and customer service.Identify growth opportunities within key accounts and develop winning strategies to maximize sales.Build lasting partnerships by responding to inquiries, leads, and requests for proposals with enthusiasm, while ensuring client orders are processed efficiently.Maintain a thorough understanding of Blue Plate’s diverse menu offerings, products, and services to confidently meet client needs.Have a genuine passion for our food and beverage offerings, staying on trend and mindful of what our clients are seeking in our delivery menus. Collaborate closely with the culinary team to ensure our menu reflects evolving client preferences and anticipates future trends.Conduct business reviews to ensure clients are satisfied with our services, and develop strategies to address any needs or new opportunities for growth.Assess, restructure, and cultivate a high-performing team by identifying top talent and maximizing their potential through comprehensive training and ongoing development. Focus on creating tailored growth opportunities that align with individual strengths and business goals while fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and excellence.Work with Marketing to develop short and long-range tactics to create impactful print and digital materials that promote Blue Plate’s delivery brand and offerings to clients, venues, and partners.Partner with the Operations, Culinary, and Service teams to ensure seamless event execution and continually improve internal processes.Oversee GoTab Online Ordering system to ensure seamless client experiences.Provide exceptional customer service by handling calls, placing orders, recommending menu options, and upselling where possible.Attend production meetings, prepare event supervisor packs, manage the procurement of equipment and linen needs, and ensure billing is completed in a timely manner, following our business line guidelines.Assist the VP of Sales with various projects and initiatives as needed.Maintain an exemplary level of confidentiality when dealing with sensitive issues.Create a culture of no client should be a one-time client.Work closely with the Culinary team on creating, updating, and maintaining Annual Delivery menus along with monthly and seasonal updates.Serve as an Administrator for Caterxpert for Delivery and Event Sales updates.Facilitate follow-up customer service communications via calls and emails, while efficiently obtaining, compiling, and processing credit card information for order payments. Collaborate with accounting to streamline billing processes and ensure accurate, comprehensive files are maintained for client proposals and records.Attend and work Blue Plate functions as needed.Perform other relevant tasks as required.Job Requirements
Education and Experience:
Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality, or related industry. Bachelor’s degree preferred.Minimum 5 years of progressive experience within the hospitality industry that includes quantifiable success within a sales role.Strong knowledge of off-site catering, event operations, and client relationship management.General interest in food, menu design, and creative event development.Essential Qualifications:
Ability to demonstrate strong affinity for Blue Plate’s mission: Our mission is to “care more” for others through food and service experiences that turn our partner’s vision into reality.Ability to identify and resolve issues and alert executive leadership when needed.Ability to function independently and intuitively in a fast-paced environment.Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to prepare and deliver clear, concise reports and presentations that are understandable by the target audience.Highly organized/strong attention to detail.Demonstrated initiative; results-oriented and entrepreneurial-minded.Strong project management experience and ability to manage ongoing multiple priorities.Ability to interact with diverse groups and foster a cooperative work environment.Ability to manage confidential information and maintain its integrity.Strong computer skills that include proficiency with MS Office and Google applications, Catering, and CRM software.Local travel is required.Language Skills
Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently. Bilingual skills preferred.Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.Possess the ability to fulfill any and all office activities normally expected in an office setting, to include, but not limited to: remaining seated for periods of time to perform computer entry, participating in filing activity, lifting and carrying office supplies (paper reams, mail, etc.).The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20-25 pounds.At times, may require more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position.Fine hand manipulation (keyboarding).Work Environment:
