Position DescriptionThe IT Group Director is a senior-level position responsible for overseeing the global Climate Solutions Data Center and Commercial IAQ suites and infrastructure's strategic planning, implementation, and maintenance. This role will also manage provide direct support to the North American Data Center VP/GM, Data Center AHU GM & Commercial IAQ GM in addition to managing a dispersed team of global professionals and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure the effective utilization and continuous improvement of the applications portfolio to meet our global business needs.

Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership:

Responsible for the creation and execution of the Climate Solutions Data Center and Commercial IAQ IT Strategy including but not limited to its Application and Infrastructure Roadmaps.

Partner with senior management and co-develop strategic IT objectives.

Support, define, and determine strategic business solutions; develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives.

Drive product line simplification across the entire application and infrastructure portfolios.

Manage vendor-based and legacy applications and drive the migration of legacy applications to modernized solutions that conform to enterprise standards.

Act as the lead technical expert for infrastructure and service delivery, taking ownership of core infrastructure technology within the designated areas.

Manage the day-to-day performance of vendor engagements and contracts for outsourced services.

Provide infrastructure leadership and subject matter expertise, offering consultation on complex hardware, software, and operating system issues related to the designated areas.

Collaborate with external technology service providers to develop network and hardware infrastructure programs that meet the ongoing needs of the segment's technology strategy and roadmap.

Oversee the proper operation of cloud platforms, data centers, network infrastructure, and disaster recovery systems.

Customer Service:

Ensure customer satisfaction is within established KPIs and handle escalations.

Implement problem management processes, including root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions within the designated areas.

Deliver the appropriate availability and reliability of infrastructure and support delivery components for the specified domains.

Develop creative and strategic customer service solutions, implementing processes, procedures, and guidance as needed.

Act as the primary contact and work off-hours when necessary for infrastructure and support services escalations and high-severity situations.

Organizational & Departmental:

Develop people and evolve/grow the organization to meet new business needs.

Be accountable for the planning and financial management of the Climate Solutions Data Center and Commercial IAQ applications and infrastructure global budget.

Understand and ensure all Climate Solutions Data Center and Commercial IAQ IT projects adhere to Global IT's system development life-cycle process and are completed on time and within budget.

Cultivate strong relationships with business stakeholders and vertical, sub vertical and plant level.

Mentor and manage IT staff providing clear goals, professional development opportunities, and timely performance reviews.

Support asset procurement and management strategies.

Stay informed about industry trends (business & technical), identifying opportunities and threats, recommending and implementing new solutions and leading-edge technology services to automate service delivery and improve the employee experience.

Required Education & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Demonstrated work experience directing teams of various IT professionals within the manufacturing industry, managing the applications and infrastructure functions, and establishing strategic direction.

10+ years of experience in applications and infrastructure systems management preferably in a global manufacturing environment.

Well-versed in all system development, deployment, and support processes, and a proven ability to manage a mission-critical systems environments.

Familiarity with SAP, Shop Floor Operations, HR, BW, EDI, PLM, Quality, Web Services, integration methodologies, data migration, and reporting tools and CAD systems.

Demonstrated proficiency in Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory, Azure, multi-location networking, and security best practices.

Strong working knowledge of currently accepted information security standards, guidelines and best practices.

Effective influencing and negotiation skills in an environment where resources may not directly control the role.

Proven expertise in managing and negotiating agreements with large-scale vendors and global resources.

Background with supporting the merger, acquisition, and divesture process.

Superior communication (verbal and written), organization, and multi-tasking skills.

Proven program and project management skills.

May require up to 25% travel (domestic and international) in certain circumstances.
