Job Description
Elite is hiring a Procurement Lead to build and scale its procurement capabilities. Reporting to the SVP, IT & Business Systems, the Procurement Lead will take responsibility for all of Elite’s global spend management, contracting, and procurement operations, and partner with the business to manage key vendor relationships and optimize value.
What You’ll Do:
Provide functional leadership to the procurement function (strategy development and implementation; operating plans and budgets; policies and procedures as well as systems and reporting; and work with internal business partners including Elite’s private equity owner’s procurement function to drive initiatives for cost savings, performance, and competitive advantage).
Design and launch a company-wide spend analysis to identify trends and value opportunities to enable informed decision-making and to provide spend transparency.
Prioritize and execute strategic sourcing and category management initiatives to support Elite’s strategic objectives.
Manage the vendor contract approval and renewal processes in collaboration with Elite’s Legal function so that vendor contracts are initiated and maintained in accordance with company policy and reduce risk.
Establish supplier relationship management through policies and procedures and identify and resolve root causes of issues by collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders.
Procurement Operations – Design, implement, and enable Elite’s employees on new procurement processes and best practices.
Reporting and Intelligence – Report to Elite’s leadership the company’s spend profile, savings results, and risk mitigation activities.
What You’ll Need:
Domain experience for a broad spectrum of indirect spend categories including IT (Software, Hardware, Cloud, Telecom, and Services), marketing, travel, and benefits.
Best in class knowledge of strategic sourcing, category management, operational purchasing, transaction optimization, and negotiations practices.
Track record of collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners to create value.
Bachelor’s degree in business, or related discipline, advanced degree preferred.
5-7 years of professional experience working in a procurement role.
Purchasing certification (ISM or equivalent) preferred.
Expert understanding of purchasing policies and procedures, strategic sourcing, category management, operational purchasing, and transaction optimization.
Proven experience negotiating with and managing supplier relationships with large technology vendors.
Strong financial and analytical skills and a proven track record of connecting procurement results to EBITDA.
Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) and consistent track record of collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to create value.
Flexible, self-demanding, and proactive with the ability to influence/drive change across the organization.
