Finan Hospital Center, Cumberland, MDMain Purpose of JobThe main purpose of this position is to perform as the Chief Operating Officer for the Thomas B. Finan Hospital Center. This position is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operations of the Center which will maximize the ability to provide the best quality of treatment to patients served. This position directly supervises the support functions of Accounting, Maintenance, Housekeeping, Security, Training Specialist, Volunteer Activity Coordinator, Cosmetologist and Chaplain.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSRequires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in health, human services, business, accounting, or a management field and five (5) years of professional administrative experience, including two (2) years at a managerial or supervisory level. A related Master’s degree will substitute for one (1) year of general experience.DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSPreferred candidates should possess the following:Experience managing one or more hospital or residential care facility support services units or departments such as accounting/budget, plant management/maintenance, purchasing, food service, personnel (etc.).Experience with contract procurement and monitoring.Experience with budgeting and financial statements.SELECTION PROCESSThis is a Management Service position, and serves at the pleasure of the Appointing Authority.
